Everything worth knowing.*
*No fine print games.
The honest answers to the four questions people ask us most, before you put money anywhere near it.
Made to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse aging under plastic wrap. Good furniture has always worked this way.
Your desk is built after you order it, in the size you chose, then delivered and assembled by two people. Six to eight weeks is the honest window from order to installed.
The Sovereign is engineered board, not solid timber. We say that plainly because it is the reason the desk stays flat, seals tight at every edge and costs what it costs instead of $4,900.
It is E1 board, a low emission grade, wrapped in a warm low sheen finish and edge banded to match. Other sites sell the same board for $2,400 and call it premium hardwood construction. We would rather tell you the truth.
Every desk carries a five year guarantee against structural failure and finish defects. If something is wrong, we make it right.
You also keep your full rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which sit on top of our guarantee and cannot be signed away.
Often, yes. Victoria’s work from home laws contemplate employers meeting reasonable home working costs, and a desk you use for work every day can sit inside that conversation. Some people split the cost with their employer, some expense it, some claim depreciation over time.
